Noah has quite the little imagination. We are always playing pretend around here and I love to see what he is going to come up with next. He loves it when I make him forts so that he can use it as his firestation, or house, or treehouse, etc... He also loves to come up with new ways to play with his toys, which is always very fascinating to watch. He got this toy from his Grandparents for Christmas and he just can't get enough of it. All of the pieces connect together to make either a race car, a plane, a helicopter, or a train. It is so cute to watch him pull the instructions out and put each piece together in the correct spot for whatever he wants to built...I'm amazed that he can do it all on his own! Well, today he decided to make a train AND a plane together and he had such a great time flying his little train everywhere. He also has quite the sense of humor and just thought that his little creation was hilarious, as he very well knows that trains don't fly. I told him that they do today, and he said, "Yes, Mom, but I'm just being silly!". I wonder what he will come up with tomorrow :).
We have pretty much just stayed home the past few days. The weather outside is incredibly depressing...the gray skies and yucky melted snow is not the best scenery to go out and play. Plus the fact that it is freezing doesn't push me to want to go outside anytime soon. Noah does not like the cold one bit and the moment that we go outside he is asking to come back in. Honestly, I don't blame him one bit, because I feel the exact same way! Sometimes I wonder how I have lived here my entire life and endured these cold winters year after year. Thank goodness I enjoy skiing, which, in my eyes, is the only good thing about the snow. The sad part is that I can't ski this year, but for good reason {I need to make sure not to do anything that could cause harm to this new little baby}. Anyway, our days have been filled with playing with toys, play-doh {which never gets old around here}, reading, puzzles, etc... We did go to the gym yesterday to walk around the track, but that only lasted about 30 minutes...Leah was not going to take sitting in the jogger. She usually is fine and will read books or listen to music, but not last night. And when one of my babes has a different idea then what I have, I pretty much do what they want. I'm not one for dealing with sad little faces...I give in pretty easily to my little ones demands. There is supposed to be a storm coming in, so I guess I better prepare for more days at home. I really can't wait for the weather to get warmer...our days are a lot more fun when we can go outside and actually enjoy it! We'll see what happens...
Oh, and Doug started back up at school yesterday, which is sad for all of us. Noah adores his daddy and does not like it when he is away. I am just so thankful that this is his last sememster...we are beginning to see that light at the end of the tunnel! And just in time for this new baby to be born! There is so much to look forward too this year...I can't wait!
